Hello guys,

Yesterday I posted a blog about how I made “The Tales from Les'Daar, blank map”. Today however I’m going to talk about something else, not how I made the map, but what will happen from now on. First of all, I want to say that the blank map is “just” the beginning. Like I said previously, this will become a full blown RPG inside Minecraft, but “modded” with a lot of command creations.

First, yes I’m going to use the current file of the blank map, HOWEVER, not all adjustments will be updated to the original file. Also currently there are NO caves in the world, if you want a separate download for a blank map with caves, so you can use it as a survival world, do leave a comment. If there are enough requests, I’ll make a separate PMC project out of it. Please, again, do leave me suggestions/remarks/improvements for the map, they’ll sure help.

Now the introduction is over: Yes, it will take a long time to make the full blown RPG map, and you guys won’t even be able to experience it for a long time. Plus, once I’ve uploaded it, you guys will want to play it, even when there are a lot of bugs in it. That’s why I came up with the (I-don’t-even-know-possible) idea of making a mod that works, only (sadly), for the map in the way of making a “Save-game”, client side.


This means that instead of making a onetime save, and you alter things on that save, you make a base structure of the file/game/document. Then the programs start putting a file together with all the changes you make, without altering the base file. This means that if you reinstall the base file, but keep the “save-file”, the computer will know what you have already done/have. This opens up a whole new field for you guys the experience Minecraft adventure maps. Yet I don’t even know how to begin work on this mod. If anyone knows something that might help, or seen this mod before: by all means, a comment would be greatly appreciated.

For the story line of the map, sorry I won’t reveal anything just yet. Although I can say that there will be multiple ends to the story, based on your decisions. A lot of the main story line will be revealed, but not spoiled, along the way, but the one thing I’ll say is that there will be three, and with that I mean living, species of evolved creatures. Think about it, and leave a comment below what you think it’ll be.

About the whole process of building the map. As some of you might now, this map is HUGE, and I mean HUGE for an adventure map. So it will take a long time, a very long time. Here for I’m working together with a small team on the map, yet all contact to the outside will go through me, this is because basically I had this idea for a long time.
