a message to my subscribers: i told you guys that i would be writing a new story a while ago but i had quit PMC for awhile because i simply didnt feel like it. but here is the first chapter part 1 of my new book. and like i said i will eventually continue writing the book of steve as well later in the future.
a message to everyone else: hello if this is your first time reading a story of mine(i only have two up so far) then i hope you enjoy the beggining of this book. it wont be long until i have part two of chapter 1 posted here but in the mean time please takee some time out and read my other book, The Book of Steve. i have currently stoppedworking on it at the moment but maybe with a little motivation(more subscribers, views and diamonds) i will start on that series again. so please take some time to look at that and this, and hey, if you like them, why not subscribe and give it a diamond. :)
Chapter 1
o Awww, cano t I just stay up a little bit longer?o the child asks his mother as she gracefully swings him into her loving arms.
o Now now, darling you must get your sleep, you know that.o
o But, moooomm all the other kids say that their mom and dad let them stay however late they want,o the child breaks loose of his mothero s grasp and attempts a run towards the play room, however, his mother is too fast for such a youth to outrun.
o Now where do you think youo re going mister?o she picks him back up in her arms with a tighter grip and starts heading up the stairs. The child crosses his arms and quits his struggling with a defiant o HUMPH!o
o Aw is somebody mad? Dono t be mad Nacht, you need your rest if you wana grow up to be big and strong like daddy right?o she gently brushes his soft light grey hair away from his eyes and gently kisses him on the forehead as she lays him on his bed. o How about I tell you a little story. Will that help you fall asleep?o the child takes his time to answer her, still mad about going to bed.
o ... maybeo ¦ only if ito s a good story. One about a hero like daddy.o His mother gives a soft giggle.
o Oh alright, how about the legend of Daylus? Not the whole story though, that would take too long.o
o Yeah yeah I like that tell me tell me!o the childo s anger gives way to excitement for the story his mother will tell him.
o Ha-ha, alright. Here it goes. Long ago, in the times of our ancestors, our lands were ruled by two brothers of the royal family. The oldest was Gaynyer and the younger, Daylus. Both of them were kindhearted souls who ruled the Elvin kingdom and kept its people safe. Peace had spread through the land after the end of the war on the Shattered Mountains 396 years ago, and all was well. That was, until HE came.o
o Who mommy who?o
o The winged demon, scourge of all life, the bane of happiness. Muldrack the Cursed. The king of death and decay. After the war on Shattered Mountains, he received word that the king had slain his son and came to our lands to exact his revenge upon the one who sew his son. However, that was a long time ago, and the king from that battle had long passed away. So Muldrack decided to take his anger out on the current kings, Gaynyer and his brother Daylus. Muldrack challenged Gaynyer to a duel and he accepte-o
o WAIT! Why did Muldrack wait almost 400 years to come here? Why didno t he just come right after the war?
o Hmm. I dono t know dear, some say ito s because he was asleep; others say he was taking his time, getting stronger to prepare for the battle. But anyway, back to the story. Gaynyer accepted the duel. Muldrack and Gaynyer fought in the Colossus, the stadium that was built originally as a prison for demos and dragons back in the times of Darkness. They fought until nightfall, until sadly, Gaynyer was defeated and then devoured by Muldrack. Enraged at the site of seeing his brother being consumed by the monster, Daylus charged towards, anger burning vividly in his eyes. Muldrack, not being completely satisfied, gladly accepted Dayluso s challenge. Muldrack charged towards Daylus and tried to snatch him off the ground with his dragon fangs, but Daylus was fast. He leaped into the air and avoided a crushing demise, then land on the dragons neck and began slashing at Muldracko s neck with his sword. Muldrack howled with rage an-o
o come one mom get to the good part alreadyo the boy pleaded with drooping eyes as the sound of his mothero s soothing voice carried him ever closer to a good nights sleep. She chuckled and continued.
o Eager areno t we? Very well then. After a long and devastating battle, Muldrack flew to the top of The Shattered Mountains with Daylus still slashing at his back. He threw his back to the mountains, causing Daylus to fall to the ground. Eager to finish him off, Muldrack raised his clawed wing and took a final swipe at Daylus, but Daylus wasno t ready to give up. he grasped the dragon Muldracko s claw as it came by his face and was flung into the air by the momentum. Not realizing where Daylus had gone, Muldrack sat stunned in confusion as Daylus came down from the heavens with his sword and, SLASH! He cut the demons head clean off! Ending the battle forever.o
o thato ¦waso ¦aweo ¦some,o the boy said as he fell into a deep sleep. His mother lifted herself from his bedside, kissed his forehead one last time and left the room. Then the room suddenly began to brighten and the boy felt the air grow warm against his face. Nacht opened his eyes to the sight of his older brother Licht standing over him with a smile on his face. Nacht took hold once again of the present. It was nothing but another dream, a memory from his lost childhood. Licht looked down at his younger brother and laughed.
o Come on brother, ito s about time you woke up. We have a lot to do today. Get dressed and meet me outside when youo re ready to go.o
