Hello and welcome to a news update on Minecraft 1.7! Lots of people are calling this the biggest and best Minecraft update ever! Is this true? Well I dug in and found out some really awesome stuff and I am hear to share it with you! Make sure you subscribe to MinecraftNations for more news and what not on Minecraft! I am going to go ahead and dig on in.

Decorative:
Mojang is continuing to impress us at MiecraftNations with all of there latest decorative blocks and features in the past few updates. There are now introducing new plants and flowers into the world of Minecraft. Lots of people said this is a waist of time and will be a bust, but when I checked them out I believe they added a new and beautiful texture into Minecraft, giving scenery and amazing sights. Especially if you have shadders and you are looking down from a mountain, it just makes me want to cry it is so beautiful. Mojang did a great job by making a dye for each flower. They did not make any new ones, however, just for every dye there is a plant or flower. The new flowers consist of the Poppy which will be replacing the Rose, and this gives you two red dye. The Blue Orchid is a beautiful blue flower that will be giving you two light blue dye. The Allium is a pink flower that provides you with magenta dye (so I guess the flower is more a magenta color than pink). The Azure Bluet kind of looks like it has vanilla bean peddles, but the Azure Bluet will give you light grey dye. There are also four different kinds of Tulips the red, orange, white, and pink so you can imagine what dyes they provide. The only one that is a different color from the tulip is the white which provides light grey as well. The last of the normal flowers is the Oxeye Daisy which also gives you light grey. You will obviously not be hurt on light grey this update. Mojang even made some tall flowers which consist of the Sunflower (yellow dye), Lilac (magenta dye), Rose bush (red dye), and the Peony (pink dye). The Peony also replaces the rose in the decorative tab in the creative menu.

There is also new terrain textures like the packed ice and pine straw which will be in the Redwood biome but there will be more on that later. Now ferns and grass grow up to two blocks high! Now you might need to start mowing your yard in Minecraft. Mojang has even created a perma dirt. This dirt will forever and always will be a dirt block. No grass will grow on top of it, just plain dirt or mud. Sadly you need a command block to get this though. Mojang has moved some of the monster egg blocks into the decorative tab in the creative menu as well as added some. There is now mossy, cracker, and chiseled stone brick! Not so happy about that, more of a hassle in the dungeon.

Fishing:

Fishing has taken a huge toll and upgrade on this new update. Mojang has added more fish to the picture, as well as some more features to the fishing poll! The new fish are Clown Fish, Puffer Fish, Raw Salmon, and Cooked Salmon. When you eat the Puffer Fish you will get the nausea effect, that's right nausea is now in vanilla Minecraft! You will also get crazy hunger and it will drain fast. The fishing rods can now get enchantments like weapons and tools! Each enchantment helps in a specific area just like any other enchantment ou would have on a tool (ex. Efficiency-chops faster). One is Luck of the Sea which allows you to get more items from the water. Wait, did I just say "items"? I did! You can now get rewards from fishing like enchant books, name tags, saddles, boots, helmets, etc. It is also easier to be able to fish. Particles and bubbles will start going towards your line in the water and you know that a fish is after your line.

Small yet so Big Things:

Are you constantly aggravated about a specific sound being to loud or to quite but once you turn that down it turns down the other stuff you want to hear? Well now you can turn down sounds of specific blocks and features like whether, players, jukebox and note blocks, enemy's (mobs). You can also stack resourcepacks. This means if you have one resource pack that does not have any texture effect on water, but another one does then you can use the one with the water texture. You do this by going to your resourcepack tab and there will be two sides. One listing you resourcepacks that are not being used and one that has them activated. You will take the ones on the unactive side and put them on the active. Whichever is on top will have more textures. This is really hard to explain so you will have to wait and see for yourself. Books now stack! You can take a written book and stack with others. I am pretty sure it has to be the same book though. You can not only stack books but clone them later on by placing the written book in the middle and put books & quill's all around it to make copies so you can distribute them to your friends if you are on a server. When you hover over a item frame now it will show what is inside this item frame which is really awesome!
