The path of failureWe've all been there. Our first Minecraft-experience. Many of us have played since the early Alpha-days, while others joined recently. What I've come to detect as a problem with Minecraft, and I'm sure others do too, is that Mojang is getting too ambitios. As every online game, the maker behind it try to do everything in their power too keep their players sticked to the game. However there is a problem with their solution to this.
Modern Warfare-series, Battlefield, Minecraft - they all try to keep their game up to date. They do this by adding new features, mods, add-ons, plug-ins, maps etc. If we take a look at the Modern Warfare Infinity Wards (in the old days) have been very diligent by adding new maps for their players to buy, and giving new experiences to their players. They do this in order to keep their players from getting bored and finding another fun game to play instead. Problem with this? New features isn't always a good idea.
Many of the ever so popular games like Counter-Strike and Leauge of Legends keep their game simple and classic without adding a bunch of new things every week. And still they are one of the most popular games out there. Counter-Strike 1.6 have been extremly popular and still is. It was launched in 1999. For 13 years this simple, yet entertaining game have been a top game on the market. Call of Duty Modern Warfare though have had it's glory days. It was extremly poplar for a short while but it has now fell into shadow. It's no longer a game everyone talks about and play.
I fear that this is the path Minecraft is heading towards. The friday updates, the new versions of the game tend to make it more complicated for players until they are buried in new add-ons and plug-ins and updates. I was playing Minecraft almost every day back in 2010. After a while I took a paus, and got back to it in the early 2012. I found very very hard to get into since there was hundereds of new updated features. I could no longer find any entertainment in the single-players since there was just too much updates. Don't get me wrong - I know that a lot of people enjoy the encahnting, the brewing, the adventure update and the new ways of colouring wool. But for me these were some of the things that just made it too hard, and too time taking to learn.
All PVP survival servers became a "no no" since I didn't have the time too learn how to make the right armour or brew the right potion. A famous electronics-reviewer once pointed out why Apple's product user were more happy with their product than Microsoft's users. The PC is sophisticated and you could do almost anything with it, but the Macintosh is easy to use, more comfortable, and more entertaining. The updates for iOS, for example are small, yet convinent updates that let's even your grandmother understand. The PC however change there whole operative system once in a while, that puts a lot of effort on their users to understand.
Minecraft may very well be heading the same way. New features all the time that makes it's more and more complicated for their players. Especially players whom took a pause from the game, and then try to get back into it.
Therefore, I wish that Mojang stop pooing out new unnecessary features that does not fill any purpouse, other than trying to keep the game up to date.
Minecraft must get back to basics again.

now the game is just ridiculous D:
Reason for minecraft being popular as its now is because people are modding it changing it and making new things for it. Soon it will be even more popular when mojag decides to release the new api to make it possible for servers to mod the client and allow people to download the changes while joining the game.
Like counter-strike, they allow the servers to give the users downloadable files to change models, add sounds, change the game mechanics.
I believe its nice that they are adding things like new blocks and what ever as long as its not a game changing thing. But then in the end, most things we do not like we can change on the server, to dissallow users to use some of the new blocks or ride the new mounts or use brewingstands.
IF we wanted to we could run a server that is like the old days, with the latest update of minecraft.
So in the end of the day, they are doing a great job even though they seem a bit lazy sometimes :)
But yeh, Mac is and can be very easy to use and because of the small amount of users using it (now its about 10%) more viruses comes to Mac. People that buy mac that arent the most advanced users tend to believe if i have a mac i wont get virus like on pc.
Comparing apple and pc with minecraft is far beyond that i would do its not the same thing. Mojang doesnt release a new game everytime, they add small things that can be disabled.
