I stare out my window,
Even though I cannot see her,
I know she is there.

Even if I'm left on read,
Even if she thinks I'm invisible,
I won't appreciate her any less.

Thoughts of other topics swarm outside,
Wanting to get in, file inside.
I keep the door locked extra tight,
I won't let them get me off topic tonight.

I appreciate her, even when she's not there.
It's not romantic in anyway,
I won't bet on it,
But I sure hope she's there to stay.
