in order to make a server for any update you need to download the minecraft sevrer.exe from http://www.minecraft.net/download . When you have downloaded the server .exe you run the server .exe and make sure it is in a folder because more thing will be made and it is best if you know where they are. Go into server props and open it as a notepad put in your ip and make sure to have it on online mode . when that is done you are good to go and have a good time with your friends. be aware when a new minecraft update comes out you need to delete the server and do the same thing as you did before :)
