So, I'm going to talk about one of the most important lessons I learned while playing Minecraft.
And that lesson is. . .
Everything has value, even dirt, seeds, and zombie flesh!
Now I was young when I learned this and I don't have a fabulous story to tell about this lesson this time, BUT (heh) I feel it's very important to talk about.
  • You've probably seen people on Youtube or Twitch or whatever talking about how certain blocks or items are entirely useless for example a dirt block. Some of you may agree with me that it has use, but you don't need to use it a lot. Now if you are one of those people who happen to not notice every cavern, cave, and giant rip in the cube-shaped earth and fall in EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. You are gonna need that dirt. What? That cobblestone you have in your inventory? Okay, what if you use it up and you are still not out of the deep, deep hole you fell in? What if you needed that cobblestone for a project? Bam. Ya got a whole stack of dirt in your inventory to use instead.
  • Anyways, another example is zombie flesh, the item I think about the most when contemplating this topic.
  • You're on a long trip far away from home in a cave or somewhere without the ability to get meat at all. Your dogs have really low health. There is a creeper that sees you at the max distance and is coming for your soul and sanity or something. You have two stacks of cooked potatoes and no meat in your inventory. You have rotten flesh though. Your dogs aren't going to touch those potatoes, but they don't mind the rotten flesh (it's human flesh, but we'll ignore that). Bam. Useful. Also, trade 32 of those bad boys to a villager to get an emerald. OR, you can eat it yourself (and be a cannibal, but we can ignore that as well). You'll have to keep eating it, but it gives you the time to escape the angry hoard of mobs coming your way, and make it to your house to eat actual food.
Lilypad. Bridge. Decoration.
Snow. Building. Golem. Decoration.
Sand. Building. Decoration. GLASS.
Bedrock. Prevents you from falling unexpectedly into the void as you're mining. Decoration.
You get it ^w^
(Dirt has saved me more times than I can count if you haven't guessed why already TwT)

I guess you can compare this to real life. I dunno, tell me what you think! :3

I dare any of you reading this to give me a block/item/mob and I will tell give you an example/s of how it's useful.

I hope you enjoyed this! :D
CreditAll those holes and such I fell in :)
