This is the first skin I actually planned :) I made her for a cottage core jam in where you get a flower as inspiration for your skin. I got amaryllis. I immediately dove into its meaning, color pallet, and origin.
There are a lot of different kinds of amaryllis, but I chose the Grand Diva kind, which is a beautiful deep red, and why the Grand Diva? Because amaryllis are a flower of pride and strength. (its name also means "to sparkle" in Greek, and my original plan was to give her a glitter dress) There is also a myth about a girl called Amaryllis who needed to find a flower her crush has never seen before, and the rarest color a amaryllis can come in is blue, so she was intended to be blue :)
I based the shape of her dress's hem on the pointy shape of the paddles. Her hair fades to red to indicate the flowers with either a red or white center (she's based on a white centered flower) and her eyes are a yellowish for the yellow stamen (I had to Google that word) that really pop in the red flowers, and as last, the amaryllis is a winter flower, very popular during christmas, because it still grows so vibrant during the winter, and that's why I gave her a Christmas-y, winter cloak.
I know she isn't very cottage core, but I put a lot of research in amaryllis, and I hope you like her :D
