As someone who once did change their username, it is really up to you. Do you feel your name is old and outdated and does not match you, then sure, if you feel like it is not you. Do you feel like there are things you don't like about your current username, then absolutely tweaking it is not a bad idea. Also, if the name somehow is offensive, then yes, you should likely change it.

But as I can see your username is Whisper1262, well, Whisper is not bad, likely taken. Numbers, not really a fantastic thing to add to names, it can make it hard if you want your name to be easy to remember. but maybe these numbers mean a lot to you, I don't know.

just to show what my evolution was, when I got my minecraft account in 2011 I used the name SleeepySnorlax.

Years later, I really don't care about pokemon so much, and the 3 Es got annoying, so I switched name to WiseSunshine. My current username is actually a reference to one of my actual IRL names, which fit me better.

Sometimes names can say a lot about you, or the character you play.
