Assistance needed for mcmeta file.
I'm not well versed in how the coding works for mcmeta files, so I'd like to know how to add a second line of text under the description of my resource pack, for the purposes of adding a version number and which version of Minecraft it's for. I've noticed a few resource packs have that line under the description for similar use. I'd also like to know how to apply different colours to the text, if anyone can pass on the knowledge.

Use this symbol for the colors: § and just like in minecraft place the color code after the symbols, so basically §4hi would be hi in the color dark red.
and for the 2nd line you want to place a \n before the second line example:
"description": "§4Test resource pack \nversion: 1.0.0"
in the mcmeta
