Spring Step
Boots enchantment, maximum level of III.
Increases your step height, jump height, and resistance to fall damage, the latter two increasing in potency with each level.
Incompatible with Feather Falling and Curse of Encumbering.

Unbreakable
Treasure durability enchantment, maximum level of I.
Incredibly rare treasure enchantment that makes items enchanted with it take no durability damage.
Incompatible with Unbreaking, Mending, Infinity, Endless Quiver, Curse of Fragility, and Curse of Decay.

Curse of Fragility
General curse, maximum level of I.
Items cursed with this enchantment take twice as much durability damage.
Incompatible with Unbreaking and Unbreakable.

Grenadier
Treasure bow and crossbow enchantment, maximum level of III.
Causes arrows to explode on impact with a block or entity, at increasing intensity with each level.
Incompatible with Power, Piercing, Acid Spray, and Multishot.

Endless Quiver
Treasure bow enchantment, maximum level of I.
Stronger, treasure enchantment version of Infinity that also does not consume tipped or spectral arrows.
Incompatible with Infinity, Unbreakable, and Mending.

Curse of Darkness

Inflicts Darkness on anyone wearing armor with this enchantment.

Smelting
Pickaxe enchantment, maximum level of I.
Automatically smelts any raw ores mined with the pickaxe.
Incompatible with Silk Touch.

Swift Strike

Increases attack speed by 0.2, and a further 0.1 for each additional level after the first.
Incompatible with Sweeping Edge.

Venom Aspect
Sword enchantment, maximum level of II.
Inflicts Poison of a level equal to the enchantment for 6 seconds on any enemies it hits.
Incompatible with Fire Aspect and Withering Edge.

Withering Edge
Sword enchantment exclusively found in Nether Fortresses, maximum level of II.
Inflicts Wither III for 3 seconds at level 1, doubled duration at level 2.
Incompatible with Fire Aspect and Venom Aspect.

Illumination
Chestplate enchantment, maximum level of I.
Causes the player to glow with a light level of 15.

Lifeforce
Armor enchantment, maximum level of X.
Increases the wearer's maximum health by 1 heart for each level.
Incompatible with Protection, Fire Protection, Blast Protection, Projectile Protection, Melee Protection, and Magic Protection.

Magma Walker
Boots enchantment, maximum level of II.
Works like Frost Walker, except it replaces lava with magma blocks (which do not automatically convert back into lava).
Incompatible with Depth Strider and Frost Walker.

Scholar
Weapon, pickaxe, and hoe enchantment, maximum level of III.
Increases experience gained from killing mobs or breaking blocks with the enchanted item by x1.5, then +x0.25 per additional level.
Incompatible with Silk Touch.

Curse of Fatigue

Cuts mining speed in half and movement speed to 80% when a cursed tool is held.

Curse of Exhaustion
General curse, maximum level of I.
Afflicts the user of the cursed item with Hunger I.

Curse of Ignition
Armor curse, maximum level of I.
Ignites the wearer of the cursed armor whenever they are attacked.

Curse of Encumbering
Armor curse, maximum level of I.
Prevents the wearer of the cursed armor from jumping; they may instead step up full-block steps.
Incompatible with Spring Step.

Curse of Decay
General curse, maximum level of I.
Causes the item's durability to decrease when exposed to experience.
Incompatible with Mending and Unbreakable.

Night Owl
Treasure enchantment for helmets, maximum level of I.
Gives the user of the enchanted helmet Night Vision.

Acid Spray
Treasure enchantment for bows and crossbows only found in end city chests, maximum level of I.
Spawns an area effect cloud around the impact of the projectile that lasts for 5 seconds and inflicts Wither III on any entities that remain inside.
Incompatible with Grenadier, Multishot, Piercing, and Power.

Updrafting
Treasure enchantment for elytra only dropped from elder guardians, maximum level of I.
Affects you with "updrafts" (reversed gravity) when gliding above deep enough water in non-frozen oceans and rivers, or lava anywhere.

Stalwart
Leggings enchantment, maximum level of III.
Increases knockback resistance by 20% per level (additively); level III combined with full Netherite armor grants full immunity to knockback.

Magic Protection
Works the same as other specialized protection enchantments, but for status effects. Armor enchantment, maximum level of X.
Incompatible with Protection, Fire Protection, Blast Protection, Projectile Protection, Melee Protection, and Lifeforce.

Melee Protection
Works the same as other specialized protection enchantments, but for melee attacks. Armor enchantment, maximum level of X.
Incompatible with Protection, Fire Protection, Blast Protection, Projectile Protection, Magic Protection, and Lifeforce.

Changes to existing enchantments:

General changes to most enchantments maximizing at level IV or V:
Maximum level increased to X. This applies to Bane of Arthropods, Blast Protection, Density, Efficiency, Fire Protection, Impaling, Piercing, Power, Projectile Protection, Protection, Sharpness, and Smite. Most of these enchantments have not had any further changes, including level scaling; this means getting to level X on most if not all of these enchantments is impossible in Survival mode due to anvil price scaling. You also cannot get these enchantments from villager trading anymore (except on Villager Trade Rebalance, which I won't bother to fix the interaction with because no one uses that in real gameplay).

Protection
Armor enchantment, maximum level of X.
Each level is half as effective as in vanilla; a maximum of 80% protection from all damage sources is achievable through standard Protection, if you somehow manage to get level X on all four pieces (I don't think it's possible to do this though).

Impaling
Trident enchantment, maximum level of X.
Now applies extra damage to all mobs touching water or in the rain, consistent with Bedrock Edition.

Other specialized protections
Maximum level is now X. Still as effective as usual; this means you can actually cap specialized protections with just two armor pieces (or even just one if you manage to actually reach level X, which I don't think is possible).

Mending
Treasure durability enchantment, maximum level of IV.
Modified from vanilla; level IV has the same effect as the vanilla enchantment but is much more difficult to acquire, as Mending can no longer be traded from librarian villagers.
Lower levels have a proportionally lower effect.
Incompatible with Unbreakable, Infinity, and Endless Quiver.

Hey Dev,

I wanted to use this datapack on a snapshot realm, tested it out prior.

Tested on 1.21 Pre4

supersmelting currently doesnt work: breaking blocks of iron ore drops raw iron.
Updraft doesnt work: flying over oceans

Some of the other enchants I found very fun: Magma Walker, Spring Step and Grenadier, thank you.

I'm on 1.20.6, and I cannot add enchants even with commands from this pack. Does this just not work at all in 1.20.6, or is there something I'm missing?

EDIT: Did a little testing, and so far all that the datapack seems to have done is make it so when I mine an ore that's supposed to drop raw ore with a fortune pickaxe, it just drops the whole block, as if it had silk touch.

The functionality that allows for the addition of custom enchantments through datapacks is not present in 1.20.6; it was only added in 24w18a, the snapshot released just after 1.20.6. It is impossible to make this pack work on that version.

Yeah, the pack should work in the full 1.21 release if added to a pre-existing world (if there aren't any pack-breaking changes made in the meantime)

The datapack cannot work on any version of Minecraft older than 24w18a, since it requires functionality introduced in that snapshot.

Is there any way to get enchanted books for certain enchantments like Smelting (Superheat)? I can add them via commands but I can't figure out how to get a book for it. A few other enchanted books seem to be missing as well. :o
