"Шайлушай," also known as "Smurf Cat" or "Blue Mushroom Cat", is a Russian meme on TikTok featuring a blue, elf-like creature with a mushroom head and a cat's face, resembling a Smurf. They are often seen in forest settings with a snail on a stick. The meme gained popularity on TikTok in mid-2023, set to the song "The Spectre" by Alan Walker, with the lyrics "We live. We Love. We lie." The original image, titled "Smurf Sighting," was created by artist Nate Hallinan in 2014. In September 2023, the "Arabic Strawberry Elephant" meme went viral on TikTok, leading to comparisons with the Smurf cat.
