[REQUIRES OPTIFINE]

Do you miss the old boats that broke by a singular lilypad and turned into 2 sticks and 3 planks? me neither.... BUT did you miss the old look of the boat?? Well, you can now have it in the latest version of Minecraft!!

This pack is basically complete but I'm not extremely satisfied with the textures.

Again, this pack does require optifine to work, so beware.

Fun Fact: Boats breaking into 3 planks and 2 sticks is a feature that's still actually in the latest version of the game. It's just that it only happens in extremely unlikely circumstances like falling from a great height and landing on a mob. You can occasionally see it happen to speedrunners.

yup! chest boats use a different model than regular boats and the pack was last updated for 1.18 at the time, but if you download the pack now it should be updated to fix the chest boats model and textures as well as supporting mangrove boats too!!

it's definitely possible! I can see trying this but getting the animations might be a bit beyond my skills right now, but this is something I'm interesting on doing so expect it sometime!!
