The Musca Domestica, or common housefly, has compound eyes that allow it to see in nearly 360 degrees. Each eye contains thousands of smaller visual receptors. While our compound visor may only have. . . six visual receptors, it allows our mech pilots to see with an even wider field of view, transmitting real time footage and terrain data directly to the pilot, and all of us back at HQ. The rest of the suit has been optimized for both in and out of mech use, and is equipped with several readouts, both for the pilot himself to work with and for other pilots to verify their condition. Is Jimmy having a tough time waking from his nap in that impact crater, or is he just dead? It's easy to find out with just a glance at their shoulder, where a pilot's vitals are displayed as long as the suit is worn. Rest assured, our pilots are receiving the best of this generation of technology for their use and safety in the war.
