Saw this event thing and figured it'd be a great way to break up the monotony of caring for relatives :D

-The Skin-
It's pretty much my favorite thing to wear when I go out - my cargo pants and 'SPAAACE' shirt, as well as my stylish white socks and black sneakers ;)

-About Mah Skinnin'-
I took up skinning a year or so back, when I first logged onto a multiplayer server and found out that you could actually change your own skin (I know, I'm such a noob XD).
At first I downloaded a few skins, until I ran into a few that I couldn't find on the site that I was using, at which point I figured, "Why don't I just try to make it myself?". And so my love affair with Paint.NET began. Needless to say, my first few attempts at making skins for myself were fairly poor, but I've improved since then (I think!) and now make a skin out of whatever I feel like every now and then.

-My Opinion of PMC-
It's a pretty great site, overall. I can't describe the feeling when I posted my first few (relatively obscure) skins, expecting them to be completely ignored, and received around 50 views on them within the first few day. Overall, it irks me somewhat that copied and visibly lower-quality skins tend to draw more submissions and downloads, but all in all, PMC is probably the best site I've seen for sharing anything Minecraft-related in terms of exposure and the rate of thievery.

Other than that, it'd be awesome if there was a dedicated feedback section that people would be encouraged to use somehow. It'd really help up-and-coming skinners figure out what they need to improve to make better skins, myself included :D
