If I may, please do not take this in a snooty way, but I found that when you take of all the hair that is on the second level (the hat layer), it looks more masculine.

No offence taken :) I was just trying to add a little depth to the skin, since this was before 1.7+. I'm sure it would be a quick fix on any skin editor if you want to use the skin but don't like that part.

Makes a lot of sense! I was going to create a review of the best LOTR skins around, and even thought this isn't a main character, ill add it! Also, I was going to play around with the textures in the lotr mod, and I am still trying to find a way to implement this. (for my personal use only) In other words, I love it!

I would prefer if you didn't, but you are an awesome person for actually asking! If you're just using it for personal use though, go right ahead, just don't upload it. :D
Feel free to use my shading style for the hair if you want. It's a pretty easy style to pick up if you look closely.
