Hello, and a warm welcome to The Chill NW SMP (which can be abbreviated to the CNS)!
My name is Nick and I offer you the chance to join this vanilla survival server even if you may not play often.
This server is not for any messers. We also prefer players to be age 16+.

The world will not reset. It has careful plans for the future. The seed is only given to those who ask for it. Spawn can be moved on updates.
The technical end of this server will not be disturbed unless it is entirely necessary, and I will manage the community in various ways, including by:
* Sorting out mishaps the old-fashioned way - by asking questions and not spend too much energy checking block logs - but I can resort to checking those if it is necessary.
* Dealing with malicious behaviour accordingly. This may require listening to the points of view of more than one player involved.
We are currently looking for players who want to play survival properly. I myself have been a long fan of hermitcraft on YouTube, and I have run at least 4 survival servers in the past. This server intends to be permanent, but the community is struggling for players who log on more than once over a couple of months.
If you don't have the time to build a fancy base, don't worry - this server is still for you - but I am on the lookout!
Current server activity (updated 7th May 2022):
* Cave City is an upcoming server project in the depths of spawn.
* Ymir is terraforming her mountain which will be her new base.
* Glo has paused the making the biggest possible map of the entire server and will be selling copies for diamonds. He is currently the only player excavating the future Cave City but the project is server-wide so help is very welcome.
* Scriv is working on a big slime farm and his other large industrial projects.
There are 9 shops open at spawn at the moment and 2 others have been open in the past but unfortunately closed due to running out of stock or the owner leaving.
As is the case with any other server, there is a list of important rules to be followed:
Rule 1: Treat other discord users and players alongside their constructive in-game activity with respect (as you expect to be treated).
Rule 2: Harassment cannot be tolerated; disagreements are normal but severe (or repetitive) negative comments will be cracked down upon.
Rule 3: Try to try and relax and have fun sometimes if not always!

Please know that these rules apply to the Discord server as well. In the game, they cover a general variety of activities including lag-inducing creations/activities and unwarranted griefing, stealing, killing, or harmful behaviour. No cheating or x-raying. Be honest and pleasant to be with. Do not impersonate another person and share misleading information. Do not advertise another server of any kind.
