Hi!
This building represents my vision of the chambers of the Great Valide Kosem Sultan from the TV series Magnificent Century:Kosem
The chambers of the Valide Sultan were traditionally located in the Sultan's Topkapi Palace.
The title of Valide Sultan was held by the mother of the ruling sultan in the Ottoman Empire. She ruled the harem, chose concubines for her son the ruler and oversaw the palace.
One of the most powerful women of the era of the so-called Female Sultanate was Valide Kosem Sultan-the mother of Sultans Murad IV and Ibrahim I, the grandmother of Sultan Mehmet IV.
She was the first and only woman to become a Valide Sultan with her grandson, as well as the only holder of the title Buyuk-Valide, which meant the Great and Main Valide.
The Valide Sultan have always lived in luxurious rooms with their own private balcony and exquisite decorationthis building represents my vision of the chambers of the Great Valide Kesem Sultan from the TV series Magnificent Century:Kosem
