...The noise of foliage and the crackle of fire

And everywhere there is only her

Death with a scythe, your truna..." - Old Songs, vol. I

Halgvent is a harsh continent in the northern part of the planet Infros, which is illuminated by the star Ulfarres. There are many mountains, forests and hills on the mainland, which are teeming with monsters. The climate is mostly temperate, but cold winds are raging in the north. Once upon a time, the human race lived on the southern continent - Tordessel. During the Silver Age of Man, he achieved a high level of technology development, cultural wealth, stability in the state and much more. However, due to the growth of cities, the bubonic plague broke out during the separation of artisans from farmers and the granting of rights to communities of the same artisans. It went down in history as a Great Plague, which quickly spread throughout Tordessel and forced people to move to the newly discovered continent - Halgvent.

The size of the map is 15000x15000 blocks and this is only the size of the continent!!!

At this time, several colonies had already been founded on Halgvent by Eberart I, the former Crown Prince of Lotangar.

Humanity was able to move to the northern mainland, however, having lost many of its brethren due to lack of space on ships. With the help of sanatoriums, it was possible to stop the spread of the Golrad Plague and people began to create their history anew.

However, everything was not so smooth.

Elves, exterminated and exiled centuries ago, densely inhabited the forests. Besides them, there were also nymphs in the wilderness.

Dwarves lived in the mountains, who were able to build huge fortress cities and develop their technologies so that even Lotangar could not reach such heights in 500 years in the future.

In addition, Halgvent was teeming with monsters, while they were very rare in the homeland of people.

Now, in 426 from the discovery of Halgvent, there are communities of people in almost all corners of the continent. The elves are practically exterminated and hiding in the forests. The dwarves did not give up their positions, still sitting in their fortresses and preserving their power.

Monsters have become a real headache. Since the arrival of humans, their number has not changed much, and even new species have appeared.

Geography

Halgvent is divided into 5 regions.

Kaltenhall is an icy hell, the kingdom of eternal snow and ice, located in the far north of the continent.

Nordwindland is the land of the north wind, the hilly north of the mainland, washed by the Ingol Sea.

Westernland is a western land, on the rocks of whose fjords the waves of the Cold Sea and the sea of Black Waves break.

Weisenland is the Southern lands, the wheat lands are the warmest territories on Halgvent, where the harvest is almost always rich, and the winds are not so strong.

Osterland is the land of the east, teeming with mountains, inhabited by dwarves, and forests with elven ruins. Extremely wild and undeveloped region.

Climate
In most of the territory, the climate is temperate, with snowy and frosty winters. On the northern coast — subarctic and Arctic. Arctic deserts and tundra stretch along the coast of the Ingol Sea, and to the south — forest tundra, taiga, mixed and broad-leaved forests

The most precipitation falls in the autumn period, there are more than 1000 mm of them here per year.

In the north of Westernland, the climate does not please with warmth: 1/2 of the year it is often rainy, windy and gloomy here, but in winter the temperature drops below zero and winter makes itself felt.

The air in the north of Weisenland is very dry. There are also the Erzneld Mountains with a typical mountain climate, and frequent fogs in summer. Due to the influence of the seas, the southern part of this region is warmer.

In the south of Osterland, it is often sunny in June and July, but it rains all autumn and the end of summer.

Flora & Fauna
In the middle of the Arctic ice and stone deserts, only a few plants grow that can survive in these harsh conditions. Polar poppies and saxifrages, snow buttercups are found here, as well as lichen and moss-like ones are ubiquitous.

Mosses and lichens reign in the northern tundra of the Podmore and Nordel, shrubs and herbaceous annual and biennial plants grow in some places. There is no continuous vegetation cover. Deer moss, poppies, buttercups, partridge grass, sedge, grass and berry bushes of blueberries and cloudberries stand out among the species composition.

In the southern tundra, vegetation is more diverse: here you can see a dwarf birch up to half a meter high, a polar willow, bearberry, bagulnik and lingonberry.

Coniferous forests, represented by pine and spruce, grow almost everywhere, with the exception of the rare lands of Weisenland. Swampy spruce forests can be found on the territory of Westernland. The mountainous terrain is characterized by multilevel coniferous forests.

In the east, mountain ash, aspen, birch and juniper are extremely common in the Intermountain. In the south of Weisenland there are mighty oaks, maple and ash.
