Intro:

Welcome to the wonderful Dwarven City of Lumbertrix. The name Lumbertrix got itself from all the high demands of gathering wood and building pretty much everything from it. This took me so long to make because the time that I had to make and the nonstop hours everyday from the very start of the contest to now. I have to thank Poedew for helping me make this. Now to get on with the story,

Story:

Long long ago, (well actually probably about 100 years ago), dwarfs roamed this large mass of stone underground. The dwarfs thrived at this place and lived happily with their non-selfish king who was very generous and kept this place running well. King Douglass Stoneholm was his name and he was a wonderful King.

The place was first discovered by Goblins about 200 years ago and they were the only surviving group left on this planet. The Goblins loved the space and most of all the gold that surrounded the whole cave from head to toe. The Goblins found it hard to settle in at first and only managed to build a couple of buildings. The Goblins had brought with them seeds from all places they've been through and they wouldn't survive without the plantation of them. Not long after the Goblins had settled in, Dwarves came in through a small cave opening and discovered the place. Soon after the Goblins discovered that the Dwarves were there and the went to battle. The goblins weaponry wasn't enough to match the Dwarven ones so they had the disadvantage. The Goblins advantage was that the had more numbers than them but slowly and after a lot of blood and gore the Dwarves came out on top and the hero that really played an important role in the battle was Douglass Stoneholm who was then crowned the King of this cave! Soon after a warrior saw a small cotton bag that floated on the river. He went down to get and discovered that there were many seeds! The Dwarven city could thrive now!

The King was very generous helped build the first part of the town. Buildings were made over time and many factories, tree farms and industrial things were built. The population was only once 20 but boomed to 150+ and it quickly became a city. There was no need to build a mine because the cave was covered in gold. Gold was transported into the royal palace's Gold safe and stored there. The city kept going for along time until they all disappeared..... The theory is that Goblins took them away and tortured them to death and took all the potions, tools and gold ingots away from them because just about every chest is empty.

In the future:

One day, Steve came walking up a steep mountain, venturing far away from the casino's that he became bankrupt in and found a gigantic hole. He slowly clambered down the vines and dropped down into the water. He discovered this wonderful place. If you have guessed by now, Steve now is the richest Minecraftian out there because of all the gold!

Steve once again has all the gold and money that he needs. But how is he going to get out of the place...

The City Includes:

  • A giant furnace
  • A cobblestone generator
  • A pub
  • A meeting hall
  • Many, many houses
  • A cemetery
  • A tree farm
  • Pumpkin, wheat and melon farm
  • A bakery
  • A combat factory and tower
  • A potion factory and magic tower
  • A bell tower
  • Dungeons under the Royal Palace
  • A flaming torch in the center
  • A transportation system
  • A gold safe
  • A TNT factory and other explosives
  • A TNT testing room
  • A tool and furnace making tower and factory
  • And more! :D

Note about the video:

I didn't have time to make a video myself but Enderworkbench, (YouTube username) or bryanshaw007 (PMC username) kindly made a cinematic video including my build with it. The video only includes my build at: 0:27 to 1:21.

More Information:

This was built with no mods. This is for the Caved-In contest that is running in December 2012. The cave itself was build by BlockFortress for everyone to use for the contest.

It would be really appreciated if you like it to give me a diamond because that would really help heaps to me.

Hope you enjoy the map!

Now changed the map download to mega.co.nz instead of mediafire.com. I hope this doesn't change download rights. I'll see how it goes and if you can not download it I will refer to the other one thanks.

It wasn't hand made, was it? I mean the buildings, not the cave. If it was it should have took ages to make.

It was all hand made, the buildings and all, apart from the cave of course. I was going to make it with MCedit but I had problems installing it and I needed to install programs to unzip the thing and then my Java went mental so mods was out for me. The project took ages to make.

Wow man, this is too complex to hand make. If I was building this I would have gave up and used MCEdit in the first day of work XD

Actually it depends a lot. If you are liking to make the map everything is easier. If you are bored when doing the map it takes ages and the result is simply bad. You have to create stuff that you like and you will make them well. Don't know if you understood what I meant because my english is not that good...
