Welcome to Svelthe
Behind the vast deserts and the dry savannas of Minecraft there's a magical place waiting to be explored.
Svelthe Music Festival 2021 offers 9 full functional stages. 4 of them are called "Late Night Stages" and are intended to open up when the main acts have finished their sets to keep the festival grounds alive with multiple raves late at night.
And if you want to take a break from partying the Svelthe Mile offers a restaurant, bars, a hair saloon and a tattoo shop.
There are multiple attractions scattered around the festival such as the ferris wheel and the Enchanted Jungle.
I hope you enjoy Svelthe Music Festival 2021!
This map was built on Minecraft Version 1.16.4. Please play the map on 1.16.4 or higher!
Festival Floorplan
Alright, here's how I built it
Svelthe was resting on my harddrive since 2017, right after I finished Katrah Open Air Festival 2017 I started to build the Mainstage. Since I had no time anymore I abandoned that project until 2020 as I was continuing it. But this time with more attention to detail and knowledge. This is how the unfinished Mainstage looked like for years:
As I started to build on it again I had to make many decisions. What was my original intention for the size and look of the festival? Should I rebuild the whole stage since it might be outdated according to my latest build style. But a little later I was able to answer those questions by myself.
The hardest thing to build was The Temple since it's so big and has so many lights.
When I build a new stage lots of terra forming has to be done. Here's an example of The Temple, before:
And after:
As you can see you need to know exactly where and how big the stage will be. I start with building the stage base and place the lights on it after. Then I see where I can place the special effects like fire, fireworks or lasers. Once that is done I start with the decoration of the stage, not forgetting the crowd area. When everything is done I build the redstone clocks, connect everything and see what redstone animations I can put on the screens.
Here's an example of the "skeleton" of The Temple when everything is done and I just have to cover everything up:
So I hope you liked those little insights of building this festival. Like my old builds, this map is fictive and the festival doesn't exist in real life. Hope you have fun. See you around!
