Cannon: 1x7.5 cm StuK 37 L/24

History
During World War One, Germany realized that they needed mobile artillery to destroy bunkers and pillboxes. In 1940, the sturmgeschutz III ausf. B entered service. It was mainly used as a tank destroyer, as it's limited traverse made it ineffective in an assault role. Due to their low profile, stug IIIs were hard to hit and easy to camouflage. The stug III ausf. B was in service from 1940 to 1941 and other variants were last used in 1967.
Later Variants
Several variants were made after the stug III ausf. B, some of which being the ausf. C, D, E, and F.
