 | St Luke's Church was commissioned in 1834 as a result of the growth of a settled population in the area. The exterior was designed by Thomas Smith of Madeley Wood. Construction finished by the middle of 1837 but, owing to the death of the then Bishop, it was not consecrated until October. Today, St Luke's still serve as the religious centre of Ironbridge. | ||||||||
Project Coalbrook is a recreation of 1910s Ironbridge Gorge in Minecraft. Its goal is to create a unique, lively town that reflects the life of working-class people towards the end of the Victorian era. | ||||
