ABOUT:
The SS Tropic was ordered in 1903 and was built next to her sister. She had her maiden voyage in 1906 and almost sank in a collision in 1914. The extensive repairs took a while and when she was supposed to be converted for war, it had already come to an end. She was moved to the Australia route in 1922 and was sold in 1938 and rotted away, up to when she was finally scrapped in 1950.
