Hello people of the planet of Minecraft, I have made yet another redstone clock. This one is very small and practical, being perfectly flush with the wall and easily fittable into your epic base to add just a bit more coolness.

What's different about this clock and the redstone clock v3, you may ask. First, you'll notice that each digit has less space in between, due to better design. In fact, the whole design fits in a space of 14x21x12, which shaves 2 blocks of depth and 8 entire blocks of length off the original v3, removing unnecessary controls and optimizing the redstone compactness.

The biggest change though is the clock reset function, or the auto-sync function. Previously, I used a timer that detected when night fell and activated a hopper clock to reset it to 00:00 at exactly midnight. However, this does not take into account players sleeping in beds. Instead, this clock detects when the sun rises and sets the clock to approximately 06:00. This works with beds, because players also happen to wake up at this exact time. This means that should the chunks for this clock be loaded, it will never go out of sync with the in-game time (unless you use /time commands, of course).

A small downside to this is that since the time daylight sensors detect 06:00 is slightly different to when players wake up, in addition to the fact that the minute digit is not reset with the rest of the clock (design reasons), there may be a small positive bias of up to 8 in-game minutes (translating to about 7 seconds) on the clock, hence the 99% accuracy. This should have no affect on your usage of the clock at all.

There's an on/off switch behind the middle of the clock (white wool), and individual digits can be incremented by attaching a button to the orange wool immediately to the bottom right of any digit (see https://imgur.com/BxnjcOT). Besides the switch, the entire clock is completely silent and you won't hear a thing while standing next to it.

That's about it. World download is for you to check out the redstone behind the clock and mess around, while the litematic may be used to construct the clock in your own world. If you do plan to do so, make sure to take note of the contents inside the barrels and droppers. They are important and the clock can and will break if the amounts are incorrect. Also make sure the 2 daylight sensors are exposed to skylight. This map does not work on bedrock edition, because the signal strength counter circuit won't work.

Thanks for reading. I'll be posting a youtube video about this in the future. Leave a diamond if you like my work.

Hi I made somewhat of a rundown of each layer on an imgur post for people to understand how they can build it in their own world.
