Lore: In 2004, the Hubble Space Telescope discovers a hidden planet in the Trappist-1 star system. In 2025, the new James Webb Space Telescope, discovers that the planet is 92.9% habitable, with an atmosphere like that of Earths and roughly the same size. It has a single moon just like Earth and is in its star's habitable zone. The space shuttle is never retired, and a breakthrough in warp technology is discovered. In an instant, objects like probes and spacecraft can reach vast regions of the galaxy by ripping a small hole in space time and warping space around them, they can arrive in other star systems within a few minutes, to an hour or two. A giant warp-tug is constructed in orbit, thanks to the help of the space shuttle, the tug is completed by the year 2043, and can take crewed spacecraft to habitable planets. You are a part of a crew (depends on if you're playing with friends or not, if not then it's just a solo mission) and you are launched to space aboard a modified space shuttle. You rendezvous and dock with the warp-tug in low Earth orbit and are sent off to the alien planet in the Trappist-1 system. The alien planet is known as Planet Avonn. Your mission, initially, was to orbit it for a few weeks, conduct science in orbit, deploy a couple probes, and then dock back with the warp-tug and return home. During the warp process, your guidance computer was suddenly 2 seconds behind in its calculations, causing your initial trajectory to fall towards the planet. Before you realized, it was too late to fix it, you immediately prepare for atmospheric entry. You take manual control of the shuttle, and pilot it through reentry and glide it to a flat looking area, at 600 feet above the surface, you deploy your landing gear and brace as the shuttle comes crashing down, its wings nearly hitting the tops of small hills before plunging into the alien surface. You wake up in the cockpit, no connection with mission control on Earth. Will they send a rescue?
