JOLHAIM: AN OPEN WORLD RPG
The Year is 181 of the Imperial Era. The Empires of Vaeltaja and Iustia have co-existed in an uneasy peace for the past decade, when all of a sudden the Vaeltajan Empire goes silent... no ships leave the continent, nor do any people, nor does any sound. The Iustian Empire sends a military force to "investigate," and they too are never heard from again. The continent is deemed unsafe, and all travel too and fro is forbidden. But you were never one to follow the rules, and so under the cover of night you set sail for the forbidden continent, and set foot in the capital city of the Vaeltajan Empire: The Grand City of Jolhaim.
JOLHAIM is an open world RPG that tasks the player with a single goal: Discover what happened to the people of the continent. Clues are hidden throughout the map, alongside legendary loot, formidable dungeons, and monstrous enemies. All interiors are decorated and filled with loot to aid the player in their quest. Discover the lore behind the land and its peoples, from the Jovish to the Shi, and even prominent individuals who once roamed the land.
The Map will include:
The map will not hold your hand. It will hand you a book, suggesting where to begin looking, and from there everything you do is up to you. Want to investigate the mystery? Go right ahead. Want to go straight to the final boss with nothing but a steak? That's allowed! Want to completely ignore the main story and forge your own adventure? Why not!?

- A deep, enticing mystery that will keep players entertained for hours!

What's up, it's ya boi, back for a major update. Y'all may have noticed I've been gone a long time. I'd love to have an excuse. I don't. Got back into developing this a few months ago, and man I feel ON FIRE! As ya may have noticed, a lot of places have been complete., These are all villages, nowhere near the scale of Hurra of Jolhaim. BUT, each village will act as a challenge/puzzle or at least lead to one, meaning no location in Jolhaim will be completely barren. Super excited about these dungeons too, they've all been super fun to make and write! Some are combat focused, there's murder mysteries, a nightmarish secret involving a union, and most importantly I'm working on giving a proper "main quest" for people to follow so that folk know they're on the right path! This shouldn't take away from the wide open nature, but just give a little guidance for folks. It will be released whenever the hell i feel like it, but if I had to hazard a guess it's at or near half way done and will be for 1.19.4 or 1.20, depends on wen I get done. Thanks everyone who is still keeping up with this and see yall soon!
