Hi folks!
Been a while hasn't it?
Rest assured I haven't been NOT blueprinting ships.
Decided to build today, and this was the result - hopefully it will live up to your standards as part of my armada. (lol)
She's called cái lao - the Javelin.
This particular ship is a prototype vessel, built by the Saburian army for stealth operations.
A recent alliance with the sky nation of Sora has produced an unforseen technological advancement - Cloaking devices.
Special glossair rings mounted on the vessel can screen the environment around the ship, and then transfer the data to a station on board.
The crewman manning the station can then deploy the rings as sort of an active camoflauge -
making the ship disappear completely from sight.
The only drawback - while cloaked, power is shunted away from the ship's weapons,
therefore it is unable to fire while hidden.
With these new devices, the Saburian army has experienced a 110% increase in the success of their defense operations.
The Javelin-class vessels are perfectly suited for hit and run tactics -
the ship decloaks directly behind the enemy vessel, delivers it's deadly arsenal of fire, and then cloaks again before
the enemy has a chance to recover.
Following typical Saburian protocols, each ship is crewed by a squad-family, usually about 12 people.
The javelin squads are given special training in order to maximize the effects of the cloaking strategy.
Like the Saburian War Chariot vessels, the sails are adorned with each squad's identifier symbols.
To foreigners, these symbols only appear to be decorative.
Weapons - 12 standard cannons, 1 saburian crossbow turret, 1 bow mounted heavy cannon
Crew - 12 to 15 persons
Special ability - Active Battle Cloaking
Total build time - 2 hours.
