I present to you my new project - a map of the closed Italian nuclear power plant Latina. The station was built in 1963 and closed in 1987 (after the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant). The plant installed a single Magnox-type reactor with an electrical capacity of 160 MW (the design capacity of 210 MW was never achieved). At the time of launch, it was the most powerful nuclear power plant in Europe. Now the decommissioning is underway under the leadership of the Sogin company.

The Magnox nuclear reactor is the first power reactor in a family of so-called graphite-gas reactors. The main coolant of the reactor is carbon dioxide (CO2), and the neutron moderator is graphite. The peculiarity of the reactor was that it could work on the natural isotope uranium-238. This type of reactor was most widespread in Great Britain, where it was developed.

I am building this nuclear power plant in the form in which it worked in the 60-80s of the last century. At the moment, about 40% of the entire territory of the station has been built. The reactor building is 100% complete on the outside and 80% on the inside. Construction scale 1: 1.75. Time spent on construction (at the moment): 6 months. The map also contains a block control panel of the nuclear power plant with a visual (display of actions in the chat) working block control panel. I made several automatic programs for starting and shutting down the reactor, the instructions for which I will do a little later and leave in the form of a book at the entrance to the room.
