In 1984-1992 — the House of Soviets of the RSFSR, in 1992-1993 — the House of Soviets of the Russian Federation; in the common people, the White House) is an administrative building in Moscow on Krasnopresnenskaya Embankment, which has housed the premises of the Government of the Russian Federation since 1994. In 1965[2] to accommodate the administrative bodies of the RSFSR, construction of the House of Soviets began on this site. During the construction of the White House, Dmitry Chechulin took advantage of his unrealized project of the main building of Aeroflot in 1934. The original idea was developed in honor of the rescue of passengers of the sunken cruiser Chelyuskin by Soviet pilots. The structure was supposed to have simplified forms. The stylobate of the building was similar in size to the ship, it was supplemented with numerous sculptural compositions. The main entrance was emphasized by a portico resembling a triumphal arch. It was assumed that the building would form a new look of the Belorussky Railway Station square.
