They waves don't crash upon the dark shores of the Cay. They never have, and never will. There is no chilled breeze that blows here. The trees are of darkened bark, tall standing and strong, yet sombre, sadness seeping over the old pine. Wildlife never visit the Cay. It's not haunted, nor cursed, but the rocks and the pines whisper as travellers pass, as if commenting on the very fact that life has found it's quiet corner of the bleak, grey world.

Esker Cay is a terraform I did quite a few months ago but it's never felt right to upload at potential previous times. It hasn't matched the colours or the theme contrasted too greatly to the most previous build, but I feel that now is a good time to upload it. The dulled pallette of this terrain fits nicely after Eternal Springs and has finally recieved a place on my uploaded terrain list, despite it being not quite as vibrant or creative as the aforementioned map. Rocks are everywhere in Esker Cay; partially a worldpainting error that I couldn't fix but partially a design choice. From the ground the amount of rocks fits in perfectly, really giving the effect of a jagged coastline. From renders not so much, but in the end it's the actual terrain that means something. I'd recommend playing on a texture pack that is darker and with moody lighting - close fog is also nice and maybe even set it too a permanent dusk if you wanted too. Esker Cay, to me, is a concept which I've been clinging onto for a long time, and thusly I hope you enjoy it.
