The City State of Belcoast, commonly refered to as the Pirate HQ is the central pirate hub in the KonoKopa territorial space. After going through a revolutionary stage the island consolidated its powers and started a coalition with surrounding islands, and the islands current and forever long goal is to disrupt and prevent the expansion of the Empire of Zah within its own sovereign waters.

Lore:
Once a great gem and naval base of the Royal Empire of Zah, the island of Belcoast Major was once a thriving and very profitable member of the Trade Network of Holocene. After many years influence from outside regions and individuals lead to difference among the classes of the island, the great class divide from those more fortunate and the poor lead to a great imbalance and eventually lead to a rebellion among the lower class and some members of the upper and middle classes. After this event, the island considered itself independent from the Empire of Zah thus creating an official pirate network.


After many years the leadership of the pirates made it a pact with other various islands and even regions within the content of Holocene. Attempting to keep themeselves seperate from the entirety of Zah the pirates started amasing ships to be used in defense of the island, various imports came from other regions through various black markets and official trading. Trading from major regions lead to various diplomatic disputes between Zah and these un-named regions to determine who was aiding this rogue island.


Along with being a full fledged rogue pirate nation, the pirates also started contacting smaller islands with villages, offering protection and safety if these islands would assist the Pirates in trading through official markets and subsidiaries. Puerto Saqueo and Belcoast Major signed an official trade and protection agreement vowing allegiance to each other, through trade and military protection. Now both bustling markets and islands, both islands have taken a more active role in resistance against the Royal Navy of Zah and mainland Zah's political heat. Although the recent ZATA Alliance agreements have made it very dangerous for the pirate island it has not affected the pirate's relations with the outlying islands and external donators. Operations and insurrection movements against the mainland have not stopped regardless of the the defense pact.
