Hi to everyone!
This is a huge map i've been working for 1 year only in photoshop choosing parts of the real world to make a huge fantasy (but realistic) world.
The Idea of the server is to make a Survival-Adventure mode of gameplay, with server protected places like cities or special monuments and dungeon for questing, and the rest of the world is free to mine destroy and build.

-The full project with commands and stuff is closed in order to make a server with it, the date of release don't change.
-The release will be terrain ONLY.
-Buildings and commands are reserved for server release.
-I have removed the "Realistic" tag and title becouse i'll include fantasy terrain.
ROUTE 1:

3. Handmade details and terrain corrections.
4. Insert Structures.

1. Basic command mechanics (<1.000k commands). IN WORK (10%)
2. Locate entities and command coords in final map.
3. Alpha (real friends will play it) and bug fixing.
4. Download whole map.

3. Spigot plugins

By now you can help me to decide the 3rd language in the map apart from English and Spanish by voting HERE.
Need ideas/opinion for:
I had an idea of making all the process of complex mechanics by streams in Youtube.
It would be in mainly in Spanish, but with English subtitles. Is it a good idea?

Info of the Cinisterra World
Ok, after 1 year i have remake ALL the map, so now, the old part is like a tenth of the total surface:
-The old map was quite small, so i have included 7 continents more.
-The map contains more than 1000 parts of the real world, some could remain unmodified others with some modifications or terrain aditions.
-This huge map contains 7 continents with different terrain types and climates
-The basic "terrain" types are:

Features and Mechanics:
Masteries
Based on the Geominecraft's Masteries, the masteries of the server can be unlocked, chosen and changed.
There are 4 Mastery path, in which 6 masteries are avalible. You only can choose one mastery of each path at the same time.
Path 1: Laborer

Damages and effects
All damages and effects via commands are stored, process and counted. New great accurate mechanics are involved in granting the player the most complex PVP techniques.
Like in many RPG, this server have several types of damages, in order to find weak points and diversify armor and protection.
By now those are: MAGIC, PHYSICAL, FIRE, ICE, WATER, AIR, DIRT, NATURE, BLOOD, ELECTRIC, WITHER, END, DARKNESS and LIGHT.
With the effects mechanics, several effect will be counted and stored in order to apply as best as possible the effects ons players.
If some player gets by a spell 100 ticks of 1 point of speed, and 20 ticks later he do the same spell, this is the result:
20 ticks: SPEED 1
80 ticks: SPEED 2
20 ticks: SPEED 1
So several (up to 3 in one tick) spells can be applied in order to maximice the effects result without loosing any of them when applying better level of the same effect.

Well, i've finished all the continents that can be seen between 5 and 8.
Further island will be included, terrain modifications and maybe some of them will be tilted, rotated or swaped.
Also i'm working on commands very hard, making the base mechanis, where all the rest will use those to run their effects, messages, sounds etc. By now only 200k commands, and with no lag in multiplayer due a timer optimicer that only run the function when needed.
I'm sorry i don't have further information about items and masteries as i promissed, but the fact is that the porject is on its base, which i'll use to rapidly work on it, therefore i hadn't add items, masteries or other complex mechanics.

Incluiré algunas islas, modificaciones de terreno y algunos pueden ser torcidos, girados o intercambiados.
Además estoy trabajando mucho en los comandos, haciendo las mecánicas base sobre las cuales el resto usarán para realizar sus efectos, mensajes,sonidos etc. Por ahora sólo tengo 200k comandos, y sin lag, debido a un optimizador de tiempos que ejecuta la function sólo cuando es necesario.
Siento que no tenga información sobre objetos y maestrías, pero de verdad el proyecto sólo tiene la base, la cual me permitirá trabajar rápidamente sobre esta, por lo que aún no he podido añadir objetos, maestrías u otras mecánicas complejas.

That thing in world painter is dope, becouse tools in worldpainter are not as accurate as phososhop specially when mixing terrains.

Photoshop allows you to overlap pieces of other greyscale maps from NASA database or from other created in minecraft or World painter, modifying the scale, contrast, brightness... between several of those "pieces".
This map has over 1000 parts of the real world i've been collected modified and joined to create this world (p.e, top right corner is the southes part of south america but 180º), this would be impossible only with world painter.
I love world painter, but only few years ago i discover a whole new capability of create maps with photoshop and worldpainter rather than worldpainter only.
I think you should try it.

Since I'm working with a medium that has a max theoretical height of 256m, I'll willingly sacrifice the realism.
"As I said"... damn, i read "Worldpainter" and no "Worldmachine"
Sorry for the conffusion. Yeah i know that software, but i've never try it. I saw many tutorials and it seems to be quite complete to make any kind of terrain.
Thank you for the info, i should try to combine both methods!
I know you can "extract" a heightmap from a map in worldpainter, but the thing is to imagine the different biomes and terrain of the whole world.
