As the title already tells, its basically a alterantive versions to Xisumas ceiling armour equipper, that should be as survival friendly as it gets, it doesnt use any hoppers, nor comparators, and is also as fast as it gets without you taking suffocation damage.

I did almost the same as you did, just 1 block is different (at the bottom - the block that activates the piston last. I put it in the other side of the redstone dust)
