Project is partially at halt. Maybe someday I will improve it, the new Minecraft versions have so many new possibilities, it would be a shame not to use them :D
The Cathedral of Cologne is one of the biggest churches in the world.
Now it exists in Minecraft! 95% realistic and 1:1.
I have uploaded this project as a .rar-file.
It is 157 blocks high.
You can use the cathedral freely on your server or map. You don't need to mention me as the original creator, but it would be nice :)
To load the map, follow these steps:
1. Unpack the .rar-file and copy it into the saves folder of minecraft.

- interior mostly completed (95 %)
- area around the cathedral finished (100 %)
- exterior finished (100 %)

Add better interior, redesign the roof, use new blocks, use the colourful glass to beautify the windows, ...

1. Open the World-Save of your server with MCEdit.
2. Then import the SCHEMATIC-file with McEdit and place the cathedral, wherever you want it to be.
3. Save the changes and start the server.
I hope you know how to use McEdit. If not, there are many tutorials out there. Good luck, it isn't too complicated. ;-)
