This map is approximately 753,664 blocks squared, or 425,984 blocks by 193,912 blocks. It took me around 8 hours to make in WorldPainter program, and around 2 hours to make the original height map and change all the colours into a format that WorldPainter would be able to use as a 3D Render.

I have added in Biomes, trees, mountains, rivers, streams, lakes and the Ocean. I also have made Du Weldenvarden using Custom Trees from

avatar lentebriesjes Custom Tree Pack.

Additional Notes

Story bit:

I drew the map first so I could start making the island of Vroengard, but then I carried on making the whole area from the map of Alagaesia in the book (Inheritance Series - Christopher Paolini).

Since then the project has become inactive, then after someone asked if they could try and make a few cities I decided it was a bit small, and so I made it again! But Bigger, better and more realistic.

Also, it may take a while to download the map as it is 82 MB.

All round bug fixes and other fixes. New Images, better cover and refined information. Better in general then. ;)

Well, one side of the map is 3380 block long... I don't know where you got hundreds of thousands from.

Did you mean to post this on the second version I made too? The second one has 67 Diamonds, and is an even better re-make of this one! Has proper shaped mountains and everything!

very coo.l. at first i thought it wasn't realists, but then I saw the map overview, and its about the best possible fit for a map this size.

My second version [re-make] is actually quite a lot better, as many of these mountains are very rounded cone shaped, whereas on the new one they are properly made. If you haven't check it out, you should! Just click on my profile and it is the latest project I have done, :)
