This mod is my submission for the 96 hours modding competition ModJam from 13th till 16th of december 2013.
I have not modified it since the competition ended.
ZPC is short for ZeroPingCombat and the aim of the mod is to implement a new combat system.
Many of its movement aspects are handled in between ticks so that the combat latency can be considerably lower than the latency usually observed wjem watching other players' movements. Also the mod offers more freedom of movement.
How to use the mod:
Consume diamonds by pressing the C key while in survival mode - this will give you additional hearts which also act as power source for special movement.
While you have additional hearts you can do the following:
- Jump high by pressing Space
- Jump low by pressing Shift + Space
- Teleport ahead by pressing Space in midair
- Teleport behind a player/mod and auto rotate in their direction by doing the teleport while aiming at them (requires accurate aiming)
- Fly by holding Shift in midair
- Throw players high into the air by simply attacking tham (does not work on mobs for balancing reasons)
- Slam players to the ground (dealing massive amount of damage) by hitting them while they are in midair
How to install the mod (forge required - tested with forge 953):
Just copy the mod into the mods folder.
For balancing reasons diamonds are the only consumable ressources to grand powers but if anyone is actually planning to use this mod in the long run I will add more or make it customizable through config files.
As I don't have much time to maintain this mod I have decided to make it public domain. The source code is available from https://github.com/MMMMasterM/ZPCombatMod . Use it for whatever you like - it might also contain some nice examples for minecraft modding.

Idea how to overcome the problem that creative flight controls overlap with ZPC flight controls?
