Bored of the normal Diamond Pickaxe? Wish it could go faster? Well...
I believe this mod is the solution!
Notice: This version of the mod is an unstable release. It may have bugs, and I take no responsibility for any entirely broken games. If you do have a bug, don't be afraid to report it to me, by PMing me or posting it in the comments down below :-).
Tool Refinery is a mod where you, as a player, can finally upgrade your tools. There a 5 ways of doing this. Each way requires you to head down into the depth, and either obtain an ore, or obtain obsidian and then smelt that.
Upgrade Items
These items are what you use to upgrade your tool
Zircon gives the tool a speed boost of 2.0F, which basically means it mines at the same level as the tool above it. Example; a stone tool with this upgrade will give you a Stone Pickaxe back, but this Pickaxe has the same speed as an Iron Pickaxe.
Garnet gives the tool a damage increase of 1, which can prove incredibly useful. It can also save a bit of inventory space from swords, so think twice the next time you're making a sword and you have a bunch of Garnet in your inventory.
Iodine is a rather useful, but annoying ore. Iodine gives the tool a MASSIVE speed boost, however, the tool loses a little bit of durability.
Azurite gives the tool a bit of extra durability, meaning that you can finally get a little bit more out of your tool. In fact, if you use an Azurite upgrade on the Diamond Pickaxe, the diamond pickaxe then has over 2000 uses! Which is pretty amazing if you ask me.
Obsidian Shards give the tool a full upgrade, merging the Zircon, Garnet and Azurite upgrades together to make a powerful tool.
To get the gems, simply mine it's ore with a stone pickaxe or above. However, to get the obsidian shard, smelt some obsidian, and you will be given 9. You can also reverse the obsidian shards back into a block of obsidian.
How to Get
To get this upgraded tool, you must surround a tool that HAS NOT been used yet with the ore of your choice (out of the 5 items above). The tool must just be a normal tool, with no uses or any enchantments. After you have upgraded the tool you can enchant it, which is good news. Repeat this process with another set of the same gem/shard and you will get a second upgrade for it.
To get two upgrades on one tool, you can simply surround your upgraded tool with the next upgrade you want to get. (However, it only works on level 1 upgrades).
After that, enjoy using your new and upgraded tool =D.
Next Version... (1.3)

Okay, this is for you people out there who are real noobs at modding their Minecraft (I mean no offence).
