Welcome the one, the only* 1.11 slime chunk finder mod.

(Subject to change*)

Welcome to an extremely simple mod. Quickly put, it adds (toggleable) text to the screen, telling you if you are in a slime chunk. Certainly not enough to find chunks, but a great tool for establishing those slime farm borders.

Installation: Install Forge for 1.11, drag-drop into your mods folder.
Press "G" (default, changeable) to toggle.

To set the seed, find the config folder in your Minecraft directory, and open the slimer.cfg file. Change the 0 in the config to whatever your seed is (if it's singleplayer/you have perms, you can do /seed. Otherwise, ask server admins) and start Minecraft. You may need to start it once with the mod loaded in order to generator the config file.

Enjoy!

Thanks for the mod, I was looking at the app "Chunk Base" and it doesn't seem to work on 1.11.2 so yeah, thanks!

Hello! Since you probably know more about slime chunks than me I have a question. Have you ever heard of a Mod called the Quark mod? Basically it adds in a few small tweaks and blocks. It even adds in new terrain generation. Would that change where a slime chunk would be?

That's a good question actually. I'm almost certain that changed world generators keep slime chunk locations. Basically, if slime chunks are the same for super flat, amplified, and regular, it should work the same for any other generators (modded or otherwise).

Can you make this maybe without inputting the seed? For multi-palyer vanilla t sint very usefull

If you can't find the seed, neither can a mod.
Server owners purposefully block seeds so that players can't load the world in singleplayer and find the locations of generated buildings.

Nice mod. But it appears to be off by one row in one direction. The slime chunk should be 16x16. But the mod appears to show as valid only a 15x16 area. Still. Great to know I typed my seed into chunk base correctly. Thanks!

Thanks!
I can probably see where that went wrong. There's an F3 key combination which allows you to view chunk boundaries, which will further help there.

This seems pretty useful, one thing I would try and add is a world seed reader so that you wouldn't have to put a seed in the configs everytime
