See, that there is exactly why I haven't gone to a therapist, even though my doctor keeps asking me to go. I'd rather just stick to my pills and my friends and hope for the best.

I would LOVE if that were the case, really.
Unfortunately it is not.
You can't just snap out of any other illness.
*snaps fingers* There, my flu is gone. There goes my cancer. There goes my diabetes.
It's just a different kind of sick.

As someone who has been going through treatment for my anxiety disorder and depression, this topic is a bit irritating to see brought up, but none the less let me try and bring some logic/light to it.
Causes: Lots of reasons. Anxieties. A traumatic incident. Physical trauma. Chemical and/or hormonal imbalances.Substance abuse. Aging/deterioration of the brain. Unfortunately, mental illness, though you can't see it like chicken pox or the flu, is a very serious variety of diseases.
Why: Because the human brain is a very sensitive and fickle thing. It's horrible and yet fantastic at what it does.
Treatment: That's the tricky part. Sometimes medicine does the trick. Maybe therapy. Maybe just time. It's different for everyone, as everyone's brains, though they are similar, they are also very, very different.

Self harm: That's a hard one to describe. It's like..... there is an empty feeling or an itch you need to scratch. Sometimes it's a distraction. Sometimes it's an attempt to remove yourself from this world and to finally find some peace. It's a horrible, horrible feeling that I do not even wish upon my worst enemy. It's almost indescribable.

Brains are stupid, or that is at least how I prefer to see it. There's only so much you can do to help it.

The Maximum Ride series starts off really good, but by the end of it, you're punching yourself in the face asking James Patterson why he ruined such a wonderful plot.

I think something weird is going on with skins right now
I've been working on a map and playing around with player heads- everyone's heads are loading but my own. When I look at my character though, it is loading fine.

Funfact: After accidentally hooking up a rapid clock to a command block with the command, you get a pretty cool effect.

And thank you to everyone else who put in their input, I have no idea why I couldn't find this myself, I've never had trouble with the playsound command before

Oh, the usual, just some luggage, clothes that I should probably pick up, stuffed animals that have fallen off my bed that I'm too dang lazy to pick up--

and I think The Rake moved in last Tuesday. Unless he's left by now, I can't quite tell, but I think I hear him whispering while I'm trying to sleep. Bloody noisy neighbor.

My main goal is just to not be homeless and to be happy. Wherever life takes me, I suppose. I'd like to be a vet, but I can't seem to get my allergies under control to do so.

I don't really get why people feel the need to cheat. It makes it especially annoying for those of us who go on servers with "strong" cheat preventing plugins, that will ban you 3 seconds into the game for suspected hacking- which can include lagging, standing still, typing "too fast", and a 100 stupid other things including breathing and blinking.

If people just played fair, we could just... you know, chill and play the game together?
I'd like to play without having to worry about someone being able to crouch and sprint simultaneously or randomly gaining the ability to hit you without facing you or whatever ridiculous mod clients people have.

Oops, that was a little rant sorry. It's just something very irritating to me, I can't understand why people can't just play the game normally.

Depending what they put in, I suppose. Though, anything new to the game is usually completely fine with me. Though I'm not sure what they would add- maybe something like copper or tin? Silver, platinum, rubies or sapphires. I think I've seen all of those in mods before, but I can't recall what any of them did really.

But more kinds of armor/tools as a result of a new ore would be cool in my book.

I think I'm the only one who sees that the rose never left.
The poppy is a new flower, sure, but it didn't replace the rose.
The rose just grew into a rose bush. So now we have even more roses ^^

As someone who worked in the McDonald's drive through for a little over a year, I could tell a few dozen horrible stories about the food.

A bone in my McChicken, coffee that has been sitting for way too dang long yet is still being served- the stuff we were forced to use to make food with frequently resulted in burnt food, burnt employees, or in a few cases even electrocuted employees-

Trust me though- none of us who ever work in fast food feel good about serving what we serve. For the sake of your stomachs - just go elsewhere. It's nowhere near worth it.

I can totally relate to this, I've been on servers where there were very young players and older players interacting. Unfortunately, some of the older players were being a horrible influence and the smallest ones started copying them. 6 Year olds shouldn't be dropping f-bombs and the c word like that.

Especially on some of the popular servers like the Hive, you see people with stupidly inappropriate language. Sure, I know how to swear like a sailor, but I'm not going to walk into a game of mixed ages and start running my mouth.
