Electro-Swing/Swing House and DnB are my favorite genres. I dislike country, rap, and pop with a few exceptions of course.

Cheaper PSU than in 53's build with pretty much the same performance. It comes with a $30 mail-in-rebate which saves even more if you're willing to do that.

Either use uBlock or AdGaurd. Both of them are much better than AdBlock/AdBlockPlus.

Those refer to monitor resolutions. 1080p is 1920x1080 pixels, 1440p is 2560x1440 pixels and 4k is 3840x2160 pixels. The higher the resolution the better games will look. However, higher resolution monitors are much more expensive and you need a lot more graphical power (stronger and/or multiple gpus).

Not only that, but the drives were not as secure as they would be in a computer meaning that they underwent a lot more vibration and movement. Also, the drive that we recommended isn't even on that test. The Seagate Drives with high failure rates are multi platter drives which fail more often than single platter drives.

Anyways, Shady's build is overkill even for 1440p and the cost can be cut down while having the same performance. Do you plan on doing 1440p/4k now or in the future?

That's not a good build and there really is no such thing as "future proof".
Please tell me why you included an after market cooler and a high Z97 motherboard when OP said they will not be overclocking.
Why did you include a WD Caviar Black when the Seagate Barracuda is $26 cheaper right now. What makes it worth the price increase?
Why did you put in a 144hz monitor when OP could get a good 1440p one for the same price? He isn't playing games where he'll get a massive benefit from 144hz and if he wants to max out games with 144fpz a single 290x wouldn't cut it.

Anyways OP, this would be a perfectly fine build for 1080p. The 380 will be fine as long as you are ok with dropping down settings a little to achieve 60fps in more demanding games.

Build isn't the worst (other than peripherals, don't get Razer unless you want low quality products), but you can do better.
You might as well wait until the new AMD cards are released to see if they affect prices. Anyway, I need to know what resolution/refresh rate that you will be playing at. You most likely will be fine with a <$1000 build such as this one.

Change the motherboard to this. It has pretty much the same performance/features as the Gaming 7 for less.
