Alright, now I've made an adventure map with something similar to this. It's on my account, and it's called AK the Escape or whatever. At one point, when you exit the asylum, you get teleported into a vertical colorful tunnel and fall for about 5 seconds.
Then, you spawn in another room in the asylum.
Originally, this would kill the player immediately. And I found a solution to the problem.
Try giving the player a HUGE jump boost(try 255), while they fall at the spawn. Clear all effects upon their landing. Should work if done right. For details on how to do it, if you cannot figure it out, contact me at
