Meh.
Well, It is pretty confusing...
Gonna underline what makes it a bit weird, they're all related.
"I trekked for hours, through the unforgiving desert, ignoring the great heat that was beating down on me. I never thought I could find safety in the desert. No refuge, no civilization. I was wrong. And I was lucky I was.
I was walking, along a river, stopping every so often for water. The cold water ran down my throat, quenching my thirst. It was an exceptionally cool day. But it was still extremely hot.
I couldn't take any more
The rest of it is OK.
But it's confusing.
It's mainly the 'Ignoring the great heat that was beating down on me' and the 'I couldn't take it any more' I just don't see how you can ignore AND realise that you can't take any more of it, I mean, your ignoring it, I don't see how you can realise it's even there, but anyway, I may enter!
