Ahhh I see, alright so when you press the little helmet icon on the preview to take off the outer layer, you will see the actual skin.
To fix this, open it in an editing program and you will see that the white is where the skin has been filled in with white on the outer layers. Some editing programs do fill in the outer layer with black or white for some reason. >.>
