Hmmmm I have 60 something completed skins also and the only one I have seen that was copied only once was the boomer skin I made.... Are my skins not good enough for people to copy.

Erickoms profile is still up though.... even if he is banned, I assume he changed what his little about paragraph said before he was banned though.

I use a mix of SkinEdit and GIMP. SkinEdit is for getting the main bulk of the skin done, while GIMP is used for the blending or adding shadows and the like. I use a older version of skinEdit as the newest one doesn't seem to want to work with MacOSX 1.5 for me...

So to sum it up, have the font be like size 32 font then?

I wouldn't think there would be much difference between the to. I guess the only way it wouldn't be similar to stealing would be if the majority of the pack was original stuff.... like about 80% of it. Granted they would still need to give credit to whoever though.

I found a whole bunch of simpson skins that look very similar:

I agree with most of that, I think however there should maybe be a way to link up their edited version to say the original. By this I mean that when uploading a skin, there could be a option for having it be classified as a edited version of something someone else made. I don't really know how you would be able to specifically classify what other skin it is a editing of, but if it could be done, then once made the edited skin would have an automatic image of the original near the bottom (the little side/front/back view images) that would link back to the original. The to go along with this, the original image could have images of edited versions that other people made of the original, and you would also be able to click on the images and go to those versions.

@Halucid: It's one thing to steal a skin.. but to claim copyright and asking for donations..
And jpn2 did make one edit on the creeper he may have got from 3lod.. on 3lods creeper, there's a random green pixel on the right-back hand side of the creepers head.



Actually if you look at 3lods creeper you will notice that it also has the little random green pixel on its head... its on the left or right side.
