The reason is because a lot of people aren't used to HD skins, and people who are more talented/experienced at it will have a huge advantage since HD skins = a lot more detail.

What? What are you talking about? There are LOADS of bedrock contests / HD skins contests.
Yes, a majority are java skins/java skins only type contests, but bedrock contests DO exist.
Java has a TON of beautifully detailed skins that aren't HD, and because of that, I disagree.
I'm sorry you don't want to participate in the contest, but these are my rules and they're the rules for the contest.

hd skins allow for more detail, but the pixels are also different, so a lot of people don't think they can work with them.
i'm sure there's many people that don't know you can make skins for bedrock and not just java. it's not really their fault, you just usually see skins being made for pc or java, and commonly made with older programs (i.e. paint.net, etc).

Look,fellow HD skin maker,you just gotta accept in most contests,they wont allow HD as they only usually want normal as HD are usually made better, and HD is kinda more Bedrock.

This is my first time joining an event! Meet Spica, created with the Crystal Palette.
It was supposed to be mythical fantasy themed??? Although the character is an elf, her clothing style is casually modern. I hope that's not gonna be an issue ;;; Thank you so much for hosting this, I learnt more through it! <3
