Ok then, so i came up with this idea this morning, and i want to get it written down before i forget. Basically, what i was thinking about was a project that the whole of planet minecraft can take part in, and i mean everyone. The jist of the idea is, we have a server, and in the server there are plots (we can agree on a size at a later date, but nothing more that 20x20 blocks), everybody who applies to take part, gets one plot, and they can build whatever they want on there. Then once we run out of applicants or whatever, the map will be released as a project, and everyone can see what everyone else has built. There would be a lot of factors involved with this, but this is just the discussion thread, so feel free to pitch in with your ideas

I would love to take part in this, would host a server if I could :/.
I could possibly open up an extra world on my server, but as we only have 32 slots ill have to see how popular this is, but we have logblock, worldgaurd etc for anti grief so that's fine.
Cool man what could be done is allocate people slots of time to build their thing, to prevent overcrowding

Cool, it needs more advertising to become something big, ideally i need a mod to endorse the idea or i need the blog to get onto the popular reel
So ive got a few people to agree on board, i need others though
i dunno, that'll be decided later on, if someone's willing to host a server, they'll get credit. Maybe if someone has a server and they feel it dosent get enough attention, they could host it, but it would have to have a lot of anti-griefing measure's

20x20 could prove a bit too small for some builders, but I think it should be okay.
Overall I think this is a good idea and it will shut up some people who are constantly wanting a server and stuff.
