Will worldpaint ruin an existing imported minecraft map?
I am working on a big project with worldpainter, i used custom tree repository and the terrain is fine, but some bits i am a tad bothered about (bit of a detail freak) and I would like to alter these little bits, but its such a huge map and i have been working ages on it and would prefer not to start all over again, so is it worth of the risk of importing it to worldpainter and merging the changes I plan to make? Because I do not want to end up with massive chunk errors ruining the entire map. I am aware that import followed by export without merging causes these problems, but I am wondering if importing it then merging any new changes will cause the same issues. Please help? Thank you.

Before you do something try backing up your minecraft world
No problem. Good luck.
Okay, I will see what I can do about it. Thanks man.
You need to import your map, then worldpainter will detect which chunks have been hand edited and mark them in a certain way. Edit the terrain how you want, then merge the map with the original map. Just be sure to keep a backup of your map so if something gets screwed up you'll be ok.
