A video encourages people to vote for it more. Adventure maps are good, (I love making and playing them!) but what seems to get on the popular reel more than anything else is artistic creations. All of my posts have way more than 75 views, and I'm not very popular, so I'm going to guess you need at least 125 - 150 within a short period of time.

Theres no secret, people will view your post or not. Put an image for your post, it helps a lot. Your only chance is when your post is at page 1 or 2.

Usually 10 diamonds - 50 views in the first 1-3 hours will get you on the reel.

I'm down for nice custom land for survival.
I like great style of buildings and story for adventure maps.

I don't really download projects if they have no survival or adventure in it lol.

I believe that it's a ratio of diamonds to views that requires a certain amount of each one before it is considered "popular". I'm not sure what the magic number is though.

I wonder what the raw technical algorithm for popularity rating is... I would sooo make a TI-BASIC program on my calculator that would tell me any post's 'popularity'. Would be damn useful.

Well, first it depends on the time you posted it. For example, a project posted four days ago will have a harder time getting on the reel than one posted four hours ago.

So, after you have that down, you'll need a fair amount of diamonds, favorites, views and/or comments. The projects section has a lot of competition to get on the reel, so you may have to get a little bit more than the average amount to get on the reel (usually around 10-15 diamonds, 75 and up views).

Well, it needs to be something that really, catches people's eyes.
Something... epic.
