[RANT] Stop Posting Popular People's Skins!
Okay, so, I don't want to be rude, but sometimes people will come across skins like TommyInnit's skin, or Tubbo's skin, and they say, "Oh, I would love to post this!" so they go ahead and post it. I'm just saying, this is kind of lazy, since you didn't even put the time and effort into making a skin. Saying this, I think it's cool if you reshade the skins, or add your own touch, not just go onto NameMC and post it here. That's just my opinion, If you do this, you really should do something better with your time.
PS: I'm sorry that I confused people, I meant on other places like Skindex, PMC is amazing with catching these skins!

Honestly it annoys me too when so many skins in the feed are just popular youtubers with either no or little change to the original skin
If u download it and edit it?
Editing someone elses skin still counts as stealing it, unless you have permission from them.
u guys should see how nova skin is
looking for people to add me on ps3 my username i CloveHitchKiller
y-your ps3 username, wasnt minecraft ps3 discontinued
I prefer to take skins I like and mash them together in a cool way on needcoolshoes, I'm not a great artist but I at least like to think I have some part in designing my own skin
"i take from other people's skins and combine them and tell people i made it myself!"
NameMC isn't a skin posting site, first of all.
NameMC just keeps track of the skins you've used in Minecraft. If a fan of Dream wanted use his skin, they could, and if they have a NameMC account it would automatically update to the fact they're using that skin.
It's not like PMC or Skindex where people literally post their skins to the site. There's a big difference between stealing a skin and claiming that you personally made it and posting on here or the Skindex, and just a fan wanting to use their fave MCTuber's skin.

You are able to post skins, because I don't think NameMC are posting 'heart emoji UwU heart emoji'
i agree, its not okay for people's hard work and effort TO BE STOLEN JUST BECAUSE "I WANT THAT SKIN JHBCNDJCDDHBBHWGSYWDDJHESDRCFGRECFGDRF"

ok well
I have removed at least 1 dream skin from the site every day for like 3 months, and usually about 2 - 3 "invisible" skins each day as well, we should add a reading test as part of the sign up process because I'm not sure if some of these people even can read the rules.
Maybe a test you have to complete before being allowed to upload stuff for the first time... nevermind if they can't read, they couldn't do a test.
They can read. They're just doing it for the levels!

ye, btw, I have heard about micrsoft overmonitizing things, like banning people who say a simple bad word, will that be true? (edit, possibly no)

it's a shame.
Kind of a shame really
Well put...
I hate it when people wear popular youtubers skins.
Oi.. All the "That's just my opinion"s & "I hope I didn't offend anyone"s kinda made this rant loose it's luster. I go into every day hoping I offend someone.
When you say shit like "this is kind of lazy", it ceases to be "your opinion" and you delve into the territory of facts...

please report the offending skins if you see them
no matter how much you ask people will still post them
we crack down hard on stolen skins already but community help is the frontline of pointing them out to us

i mean there just minecraft skins
Luckily PMC cracks down on these very quickly.

Skins I agree with, but names I don't.. Knowing the past names of players can provide an asset to server owners and unlike skins, cannot really be stolen..
Reposting without permission counts as stealing
Editing without credit or permission counts as tracing
My friend got their works reposted without permission(they had to do the copyright thingy)
People that are reposting stuff without permission are parasites(they make problems and get the consequences)

To a certain degree I agree (slightly changing the color, editing 1 or 2 pixels), but if you change the work to the point where it has been transformed, its considered (legally) fair use...

who actually posts (thats actually has a decent enough fanbase) youtuber skins reposts in the first place
people who actually make skins are the people who will be on popular page. if you have an issue with the reposts, you can always report them if you provide the original link

I dont even know why there are people that do that lol
I mean, they're obviously kids and kids are just kinda weird and they don't think that they're just re-uploading someone's skin but I dont see why a kid would enjoy uploading his favourite minecraft youtuber's skin on PMC if they didnt even make it
